In Klamath Falls, nearly 100 citizens from Klamath, Modoc and Siskiyou Counties gathered to protest the KBRA / Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement. "This new group was formed out of frustration with various irrigation districts and parts of our local government. "

Their individual views and opinions have been ignored by those that are supposed to represent them. These citizens are voicing their opposition to the KBRA and KHSA  by filing a Response to the Klamath Irrigation District Petition, in Klamath County Circuit Court."

 

We the following citizens’ current & past elected public servants of Klamath County are AGAINST removal of the Klamath River Dams and the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement, the KBRA, as written., posted 1/29/10 Residents sound off at KHSA meeting, Siskiyou Daily 11/20/09. "About 200 people in total attended...the meetings....only one person held up his hand in support of (Klamath Dam) removal."
Shasta Nation takes stand on dam removal, 2/1/08. "...the aboriginal boundary between the Shasta and Karuk Tribes was at Clear Creek approximately 10 miles down river from Happy Camp, CA...The Karuk Tribal leadership has gone to great lengths with ghastly amounts of hard working tax payer dollars to create the illusion that they have lived historically in Happy Camp and Yreka CA, therefore giving them the right to make decisions regarding the four controversial dams that are within Shasta Nation ancestral boundaries."
