Following is a response by Klamath Basin irrigator and Klamath Water Users Association board member Steve Kandra to 62 questions by Siskiyou County regarding Klamath Settlement Agreement that calls for removal of 4 hydropower dams, 3 being in Siskiyou County.

Thanks for the communication Supervisor Armstrong.  The Klamath County Commissioners assembled a panel of technical, policy, and legal resources this past Monday where many of these types of questions were addressed.  The format where the Commission asked questions, after which the public asked questions.  PacifiCorp representative Cory Scott was also there and responded to some inquiries.  I believe that this forum gave the Commission and Public good information and quieted some concerns.  Your Siskiyou County representation in FERC settlement and KBRA negotiations, Frank DeMarco and Jim Depree, should be able to address the timing questions as to County
involvement.  Contact the Klamath County Commissioners Al Switzer, Bill Brown, and John Elliott as to their comments.

Regards,
Steve Kandra
