Siskiyou 'Congressional Style' hearing on Klamath Settlement

The next public meeting on the Restoration Agreement and Dam Removal issue will be on March 25 at 6 p.m. at the Miner's Inn Convention Center in Yreka. The Board of Supervisors will hold a "Congressional Style" hearing where questions will be presented by the Board to high ranking representatives of the US Fish and Wildlife Service, California Resource Agency and Pacific Power. An County hired engineer is supposed to be reviewiing the sediment studies to answer questions on impacts. There will also be statements and questions presented to other parties to the Agreement.

As currently planned, a follow up hearing will be held on April 1 to take any further public comment prior to rendering a decision on the Settlement Agreement document
