Oregon senators should be replaced

Herald and News letter to the editor by Donato M. Giambersio, Klamath Falls

To U.S. Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden: Gentlemen,

I’m using that term to address you as I’m too polite to refer to you in a more correct, descriptive term, which is more fitting to your traitorous actions. I am not writing you to thank you for voting for the United Nations Small Arms Bill, that would have, in reality, taken away our 2nd Amendment rights.

The positions you hold are a position of trust endowed by the electorate of this state.

You have failed miserably. You’re no longer worthy of our trust. I will make everyone I know aware of how you tried to sell us out.

Hopefully, this will be a wake-up call to everyone who votes, and make them aware that the familiar names they see on the ballot are familiar only because it was the names of those people who intended to do us harm by removing the one right, the 2nd Amendment right, that assures the continuance of every other right bestowed upon us by our Founding Fathers, which makes this country the envy of the world.

Those names are: Merkley and Wyden, who are currently occupying the positions of U.S. senators from Oregon, who deserve to join the ranks of the unemployed on the next election cycle.

You both swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. You both lied. People like you are a threat to our liberty and our nation.
