Western Tanager

Although a breeding species, western tanagers are seen primarily during migration when they may be observed in all upland habitats within the Upper Klamath Basin.  They are observed most often in the northern portion of the Upper Klamath Basin watershed.

Other Habitats: juniper/sagebrush; ponderosa/lodgepole pine forest; high elevation forest
